Scope

This policy covers clairos.ai, optional Clairos update emails, product-access support, contribution checkout, and support/contact messages.

App-specific notes

Product app-store listings may include additional app-specific privacy details for the installed apps.

What we collect

Email and product-access support data.

If you sign up for updates, contact support, contribute, or use a product-access support flow, we process only the information needed to honor that request and keep the service working.

Update email

Email address, consent status, confirmation state, unsubscribe state, and related list metadata for optional updates.

Support details

Information you send in support or contact messages, plus the contact details needed to reply.

Product access

Product entitlement, license, claim, download-access, and fulfillment records needed to keep purchases and access working.

Billing references

Where billing applies, Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, invoice, or portal references may be stored so access and support can be reconciled.

What we collect

Site operations and security data.

We process the minimum operational data needed to serve the site, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and understand basic page traffic.

Request data

Requested path, timestamp, user agent, referrer, IP-derived security signals, and related server log details.

Basic metrics

Public page-view summaries may be used to understand which pages are useful and whether the site is working well.

Anti-abuse checks

Anonymous update, contact, contribution, and checkout flows may use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish real use from automated abuse.

What we avoid

We do not sell personal data, build ad profiles, or use cross-site advertising trackers on the Clairos website.

Marketing consent

Optional updates are separate from support and purchase email.

Clairos news and product updates are optional. Public signup forms use double opt-in: you ask to subscribe, then confirm by email before marketing starts.

Optional marketing

You can choose Clairos updates or product-specific updates. If you do not confirm, the subscription stays pending and inactive.

Withdrawal

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email or by contacting support.

Transactional email

Purchase, billing, license, claim, and support emails are not marketing and may still be sent when needed.

Mail delivery

Clairos uses its own mail system for marketing confirmation/update emails, with list headers and unsubscribe handling where applicable.

How we use data

Only for the job it was collected to do.

We use email, product, billing, support, and site-operation data to provide the requested service, keep the site safe, and honor your choices.

Honor update choices

Confirmed update lists receive news and product updates, and unsubscribe choices are retained so we can honor them.

Provide product access

Checkout, billing portal, entitlement, license, claim, download, and support flows for products that need fulfillment records.

Send requested email

Confirmed update lists receive news and product updates. Contact and support emails are used to reply to you.

Protect the service

Security logs, Turnstile checks, CSRF protection, throttling, and audit records help reduce abuse and protect public forms.

Service providers

Who may process data to keep the service working.

We do not sell or rent personal data. Limited service providers process data only where needed for hosting, security, email delivery, payments, or legal obligations.

Hosting and infrastructure

Servers, logging, backups, TLS, and operational tooling process the data needed to serve and secure the site.

Mailcow email

The Clairos mail system sends support replies and optional marketing confirmation/update emails.

Stripe billing

Where a paid product flow uses Stripe, Stripe processes checkout, subscription, invoice, tax, and billing-portal data.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Turnstile may process anti-abuse signals for anonymous forms before update, contribution, or billing actions are accepted.

Legal and safety

Data may be preserved or disclosed if required by law, to protect the service, or to investigate abuse.

Your choices and rights

Access, export, correction, unsubscribe, and deletion requests.

You can contact support@clairos.ai for help with privacy requests, update preferences, product-access questions, or deletion requests.

Data request

Email support if you need a copy of update-list, support, contribution, or product-access information associated with your email.

Email support
Correction

Contact support if something associated with your email needs correction.

Unsubscribe

Marketing opt-out is available from the email unsubscribe link or by contacting support.

Deletion request

You can request deletion or review of information tied to your email. Some billing, tax, license, security, or fulfillment records may need to be retained.

Retention

We keep records only as long as they are needed.

Different records have different retention needs. Some can be removed quickly; others must be retained for operational, security, billing, tax, audit, legal, or fulfillment reasons.

Support and product records

Support and product-access records are retained only as needed for support, security, and access continuity.

Marketing records

Subscription and unsubscribe records may be retained to honor consent state, pending confirmations, and suppression requests.

Billing and access records

Stripe references, licenses, entitlements, fulfillment records, and audit logs may be retained where needed for legal, tax, security, or product-access integrity.

Backups and logs

Backups and operational logs may persist for a limited period before normal rotation or cleanup.

Security

Practical protections for public site flows.

Clairos uses layered controls to protect public forms, update signup, contribution checkout, and product-access support flows while keeping the experience usable.

Transport and cookies

The site uses HTTPS, secure cookies, HTTP-only session cookies, and browser CSRF protection for session-backed mutations.

Token handling

Unsubscribe, marketing confirmation, and other confirmation tokens are time-limited and stored in hashed form where appropriate.

Rate limits

Anonymous form, update signup, contribution, and sensitive confirmation attempts may be throttled.

Limited access

Internal admin and fulfillment tooling is kept separate from the public marketing pages.

Children and changes

A short note on age and policy updates.

The website is not directed to children under 13, and Clairos does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website. We may update this policy as the site and product flows change.

Children's privacy

If you believe a child shared data through the site, contact support@clairos.ai so it can be reviewed.
